I like to visit wineries.
I enjoy the entire experience; driving up the driveway alogn the vines, the cellar door, the characters inside (if any), sometimes the food (if available), gardens, views and of course, the wine.
There's a lot out there for wine lovers with regards to tasting wines. I have a general idea of how wine is rated by the critics but have no desire to know more. I'm no expert but I know what I like and I know why.
My interest here is as an average punter off the road who knows not much or a little more and what you can expect from the wineries visited.
This blog is a record of my visits from 2011 onwards, starting from the Victorian wine regions but hopefully expanding in the future!
